Irish Women In Harmony, an influential collective of accomplished female artists, has unveiled their latest single, a heartfelt rendition of Sinéad O' Connor's iconic 'Nothing Compares 2 U.' Recorded with John Reynolds in his studio in Co. Wicklow, who has produced and played with Sinéad since her first album, ‘The Lion and the Cobra’, through to her last album, ‘I’m not Bossy, I’m the Boss’ . The support of Sinéad’s loved ones was of the utmost importance to the Irish Women In Harmony collective in recording the single, and funds raised will go to Aisling Project, a charity chosen by Sinéad’s family. Aisling Project is an after-school intervention program in Ballymun on the Northside of Dublin, aiding children and young people in need of support, through a wide range of ever-expanding activities in a caring and secure environment. ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’, a powerful tribute to the legendary Sinéad O’Connor, features the extraordinary talents of: Aimée, Ailbhe Reddy, Andrea Corr, Emma Langford, Erica-Cody, Eve Belle, Faye O'Rourke, Fia Moon, Gemma Doherty (harp), Krea, Loah, LYRA, Maria Ryan (strings), Melina Malone, Moya Brennan, Niamh Farrell, ROE, Róisín O, RuthAnne, SIBÉAL, SOULÉ, Stephanie Rainey, Saoirse Duane, Tolü Makay and Una Healy. Produced by two-time GRAMMY nominated artist and founder of the Irish Women In Harmony collective, RuthAnne says:“It was so important for our collective to come back together for this very special tribute to an iconic Irish female artist like Sinéad O’Connor, who has had such a huge influence and inspired us all in our own careers. Sinéad paved the way for the rest of us, her legacy will live forever and we want to celebrate her, thank her and raise much needed awareness and funds for Aisling Project.”
This emotionally charged cover, produced remotely by some of Ireland's finest female musicians, demonstrates Irish Women In Harmony's ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in their community. Mícheál Clear, Project Leader, Aisling Project, shares his gratitude, saying, "Aisling Project is delighted to be associated with this wonderful Irish Women in Harmony song in tribute to Sinéad O’Connor. We are so grateful to the Sinéad O’Connor estate and everyone involved for their many kindnesses towards us." Aisling Project operates an after-school intervention program across five different centres in Ballymun, catering to over 150 children and young people aged 7 to 18+. The program offers not only academic support with homework but also provides a hot, nutritious dinner each day with every child and young persons supported and helped to complete their homework. Aisling Project provides a wide range of ever-expanding activities all in a welcoming, safe, caring and fun-filled environment. In Aisling Project, every child is a First Class citizen. Taking a holistic child-focused approach, Aisling Project emphasises care, education, and listening to the voice of the child. Aisling Project has developed strong links to several other services, both local and further afield and makes appropriate referrals when required.

Boygenius and Ye Vagabonds Release Holiday Charity Single “The Parting Glass”
SIX-time GRAMMY-nominated trio, boygenius and Irish folk duo Ye Vagabonds have released their version of “The Parting Glass,” a traditional gathering song popular in Scotland & Ireland and exquisitely recorded by Sinéad O'Connor - who is also featured on the track’s cover art - in 2002. Boygenius, Ye Vagabonds and Interscope will donate all net proceeds from the track to Aisling Project, an after-school project working with children and young people growing up in a disadvantaged area in Dublin, Ireland, chosen by the Sinéad O’Connor Estate. This release continues Phoebe Bridgers’ tradition of an annual holiday single released for charity.
